Hello friends, I don’t know about you, but I am so thrilled that the fall season is right around the corner! How about you? I am looking forward to cooler temps, fall festivities and most of all decorating my home for the fall season… Today, I am excited to share with you all 5 simple ways to add fall decor into your living room. In this post, you will see a mix of textures and traditional fall decor used to create a cozy space your family will love. Are you ready? Let’s get started!!
1. Cozy Knit Throws
One way you can cozy up your living room for fall is by adding texture with a throw blanket onto your couch or sectional. A throw blanket embellished with a decorative pattern can quickly add style and comfort to your space instantly. This season I decided to go neutral and purchase this beautiful pompom throw blanket from Amazon. I can not tell you enough how soft and warm this chenille throw is!! In addition to that, I am in love with the crochet design and the cute pompoms too! For those of you that follow me on Instagram watch out. You will see this blanket a lot on my feeds!!
2. Textured Pillows
I am OBSESSED with toss pillows, and better yet, a pillow with intricate texture and design equals life!! If you are bored with your current couch or sectional, you can make it look new by adding different pillows to your space. If you follow me on Instagram you may remember my turquoise toss pillows, right? Well, this momma was getting bored with that look and was ready to go neutral this fall.
So, while browsing through my local Macy’s, I kept coming across these tufted chevron striped pillows by Lacourte for the past few weeks!! I am not kidding! I finally decided that I needed these beauties for my home, so needless to say since my birthday was right around the corner I added these lovelies to my cart. I can’t wait to share more views soon!!
3. Neutral Decorative Pumpkins
There is nothing like adding vignettes of neutral pumpkins in your space. You can just add a grouping of pumpkins to your coffee table, fireplace mantle or table tray to infuse fall into your space. To make your vignette interesting use pumpkins of various sizes and shapes. Additionally, add one pop of color for an element of surprise to the eye. The pumpkins you see in this photo are from Michaels and hobby lobby. The cute adorable Farm Fresh pumpkins tray I scored from Athome stores. You may find this lovely on my fireplace mantel, stay tuned.
4. Fall Scented Candles
There is nothing like setting the mood of fall in your home with a yummy fall scented candle. When you are creating your tablescapes on your coffee table or table tray, don’t forget to include a candle. My family tends to gravitate towards scents of vanilla, cinnamon and pumpkin spice, so this season I decided to try Kirkland’s Cinnamon Swirl candle by Cobblestone Candle. This candle will make you feel as if you are baking fresh homemade cinnamon rolls in your oven! Gosh… I need to look up a recipe now, lol.
5. Simple Fall Themed Table Trays
A final way to add touches of fall into your living room is by styling a cute table tray with elements of fall. The table tray you see here is from another favorite home decor store of mine called HomeGoods! I decided to add a farmhouse styled milk can from Kirkland’s to add a little of rustic flair to my space. To finish it off I added a simple decorative pumpkin and a coaster for my mugs filled pumpkin spice tea or a latte.
Overall, adding elements of fall decor to your living room can be fun and does not have to break your bank. I already owned the pumpkins from past seasons, so shop your home first before heading to your home decor store. Secondly, when it comes to adding new items to my space, I recommend taking advantage of online coupons that Kirkland’s, Macy’s and Athome offer for in-store and online use. I spent less than $175 for the new items! Lastly, I LOVE Ebates! When I shop online at Macy’s, Kirlands, Amazon and many other retailers I earn cash back on my purchases. As a result, I either save the money earned, or I use it on future purchases for my home. If you don’t have Ebates and want to take advantage click here to join. It’s free and super simple to use.
