Hi friends! If I could show you a simple and inexpensive way to create my “Hello Pumpkin” DIY wall art I used for my fall coffee bar would you want to know how? If that answer is yes, then I got you covered!!
If you have seen my previous post “Fall Coffee Bar Organization Ideas,” then you may have seen this cute wall art on my blog and Instagram. I am so in love with it, and I think I love it because it is something I made for my home. And if you would like to make your own then follow along below.
1. Find A Rustic Frame
For this project, I knew I wanted a frame that had a rustic and distressed look for my coffee bar. So, if you know me, you already knew a run to my local Hobby Lobby was a must. I hunted the aisles down until I came across this beautiful reclaimed wood frame that holds an 8×10 photo or art. I love the look and feel of this frame for this season!
I am not too sure if Hobby Lobby currently has this frame in stock, however, I did find an identical one on Amazon too!! You may have noticed that I removed the glass from this frame. I did that because I wanted zero reflection and I also wanted it to look like it was handcrafted just like the signs the talented sign makers create on Instagram and Pinterest.
2. Create Your word Art
Now, I know that I could have easily gone to Etsy and purchased a printable sign, but I just couldn’t because I know how to create them too!! So I simply opened up my word program and started to play around with many fonts.
I knew I wanted my sign to say, “Hello Pumpkin” because I am totally obsessed with all this pumpkin spice and everything nice, lol. Once I created and positioned my word art, I simply printed it out on white card-stock paper. That’s it!! Super easy and fast!!
3. Print & Display Your Work of Art.
The only thing I will mention is the card stock paper measures 8 & 1/2 by 11. So, I had to trim my word art down to 8×10 for it to fit inside the frame. I love how this turned out! This frame gives me the flexibility to just place on my coffee bar, or I can easily hang it up on the wall too with the Velcro command strips by 3m.
The other thing I love about this wall art is that I can switch the word art out each season! As a result, I am saving myself some money versus purchasing more wall decor for the same area. And you all know wall art for the home can add up fast!!
