Well hello, friends! I am so excited to finally share with you all my new rustic fall centerpiece I created for my home this season! In this post, I will share with you a step by step video on how I created it from start to finish. If you can’t tell already, I am so ready to embrace the fall season in my home. How about you?

I love everything about fall from the scented pine cones to the fun touches of pumpkins throughout the home. This year I decided to go a little on the rustic side after being inspired by some many fall table decor ideas on Instagram, Pinterest, and home decor magazines. I decided to start my fall transformation in my kitchen. This is the place where my family sit and enjoy yummy meals together daily. It is also the center of our home where guests would commune the most, so why not right?

This year I decided to go a bit non-traditional with incorporating blue/green pumpkins vs. the traditional orange. Now don’t get me wrong, I love the warmth of the orange pumpkins as they take me back to my youth, instantly!! Or I just have fun memories of decorating the yard for Halloween for my son when he was still at that young age to go trick or treating. However, this season I just wanted a neutral color scheme as it creates a calm & serene feeling in my home.

1. Find Your Rustic Dough Bowl

Dough bowls, oh my goodness!! I have been obsessed with these for almost 6 months now! I love the rustic look and feel these add to a space. I was fortunate to find one will browsing for hours on Etsy!! I am not kidding! (I am a picky online shopper) This beautiful dough bowl was purchased from RanchoAdobe in McAllen, Texas. It measures 28 inches in length, 12 inches wide and 6 inches deep. Not to mention it has a has some weight to it too! I adore the craftsmanship and stain of this bowl. Unfortunately, this particular style is not available, but Amazon also has some many options and styles available too!!

2. Pumpkins Any Color

If you watch my Insta stories on Instagram (@chichomelife), you know that I have visited Michael’s the past August and came across these beauties!! I am amazed at the assortment of fall decor they have available in-store and online too!! The pumpkins I selected are from the stone finish pumpkin collection by Ashland. They are lightweight and easy to style with. I decided to purchase one medium sized ivory pumpkin and the others pumpkins in the small size. So, you choose what is best for you!

3. Add Scented or Non-Scented Pine Cones

While browsing along in Michael’s I came across these large scented pine cones by Ashland.  Wow, these pine cones remind me of my youth growing up in Wisconsin. We had a fairly large pine tree next to our house, and I love picking them up and playing with them as a child. So, of course, they came with me, and I decided to use them as filler from my centerpiece.

4. Add Flocked Lambs Ear

This season, I love flocked lambs ear greenery!! (I am warning you, It will reappear in future Instagram posts and here on the blog) Adding greenery pulls this entire look together, and it coordinates with the lambs ear I have on my wall too!! I found these lovelies at Afloral.com and you can also find them at Hobby Lobby too!!
