Happy Summer friends! Many of you have sent me messages via Instagram @chichomelife asking me to share my favorite basic summer essentials I wear during the summer season.

I know many of you are gearing up for some beautiful destination vacations to the Caribbean, the coast and some are traveling overseas to the Mediterranean (please take me too!!! lol) A lot of you wanted some comfy yet chic options to pack.

Additionally, many of you wished to have options that you can intermix into your daily wardrobe too. So, today, I am super excited to share with you all 8 summer wardrobe essentials you should have. Most of my favorites are affordable, timeless, and then there are a few options that are a luxury splurge that will last a lifetime too!

1. Luxury Splurge: Louis Vuitton Pallas Clutch

During the summer months when I am on the go, I don’t want to carry a large bag. First of all, it’s hot, and secondly, I would be too tempted to fill it up to the point it becomes too heavy to carry it. So for me, having a small cross-body bag is a must!

This season I decided to splurge on the Louis Vuitton Pallas Clutch. I love the fact that it can be a casual cross-body bag and then for a special occasion I can remove the shoulder strap, pull out the gold chain and it becomes a stylish clutch. Now if this is too much of a splurge here is another appealing option by Michael Kors.

2. Simple Hoop Earrings

When it comes accessories, I like to keep it simple. Usually, you will find me rocking a pair of Kendra Scott’s, but this summer I wanted to go for a classic pair of hoops by the other K, Kate Spade. I found these adorable gold-toned love knot hoops from Macy’s. They are perfect in size and not too heavy on my ears. Now, I need to find a necklace to complement them.

3. Elevate a Style With A Belt

This season I wanted to add a wow factor to my outfits, either casual or formal. So, I decided to splurge on a designer belt by Louis Vuitton. (if you have caught on, I am a fan) The LV initials 40 mm, which measures about a 1 inch and a half in width, and it is in the classic monogram print. I decided to go with this style because I can use it to dress up or down any outfit! I love to add it with jeans or even a flowy maxi dress too.

4. Denim Jackets

I don’t know about you, but I love the distressed denim jeans, shorts and now jackets this season. Yes, I know I live in central Texas, and the temps are our as you know what, but a denim jacket can sure come in handy. When I travel in via plane or inside for movies, conferences or any space that has the dial to the AC down to sub-zero temps a jacket like this comes in handy!! I am currently in LOVE with my destructed trucker jacket by INC. It’s the perfect length, super stretchy, and transitional into the fall season!

5. Maxi Dresses

When the temps get super hot, maxi dresses give me life!! A long flowing one that allows cool breezes in during the hot summer is a must! I am usually a monochrome, neutral type of girl, but this summer I am going all out with color and you should too! This yellow dress from Macy’s won my heart for two reasons: it’s pleated for one, and It’s an ombre yellow to white coloration!! I wore this to my sales meeting and loved it!! I can’t wait to takes some pictures and share them with you all on my Instagram feed! Stay tuned.

6. V-Neck Tees

I am sure that I already mention how hot the temps are during the summer must, so you understand why V-neck tees are a must, right? I am currently obsessed with Target’s Universal Thread line. This line has a mix of casual/contemporary styles at a great price! Back in the day, I used to cringe at the quality of Target’s clothes, but not anymore! I recently picked up Universal Thread’s Monterey pocket V-neck tees in white, black and of course the camo print. I love how comfortable these Tees are, and they can be dress-up or down easily. And I love how affordable they are too.

7. Stylish Sandals

OMG…I am so in LOVE with these sandals by Style & Co!! Ok, one I love Strappy sandals (I own several), however… for me I have to perform some type of gymnastics to get the darn straps secured!!

However, these sandals rock my world!! Why? These babies right here zips up from the back, and that’s it!! Hallelujah!! A curvy girls dream come true!

On top of that, these shoes are so comfortable because the heel height is only 2 inches and a half tall. I purchased the nude color and wore team during my sales meeting in Florida and loved them so much that while I was training, I opened my Macy’s app and ordered the snakeskin print right away!! I swear I can’t wait to share them with you all; they are super cute!!

8. Bermuda Shorts

As I get older, I become more of a fan of Bermuda shorts. I guess it because that doesn’t show too much of my junk in the truck or maybe its because they are comfortable and I don’t have to worry about revealing too much when bending over in public. I don’t know, lol.

However, I decided to refresh my collection with a pair of denim Bermudas by Levi’s brand of jean called Denizen and a white pair by Universal Thread at Target. Both are so cozy and a perfect companion to my V-neck tees. The only thing I need is a pair of distress shorts, so stay tuned from that.
